History of MSFest

Sometimes you need to know a little about where we started to understand how far we've come and the uncontainable possibilities of our future... msfest commenced in 2006 as a part of the 50th anniversary commemoration of the MS Society in Australia. It was the brainchild of organisers Clint Pease and Stacy File who envisioned it as a laid back, easy going method of raising awareness to a previously unattainable demographic of youth and young adults, not to mention, a great excuse to bring a music festival of international standards to Launceston. Giving credence to the saying, “Grand events begin with good ideas”, msfest 2006 was a truly grand success, packing out Royal Park, (our original home ), hosting Australia's best music and introducing for the first time, the “Ministry of Sound Dance Arena” and raising much needed funds and awareness for people with Multiple Sclerosis. msfest quickly became known as an event not to be missed. Thus began our journey, growing from a spark in Stacy and Clint's eyes and developing into a Tassie icon and “must do” on the annual event calendar, offering a one of a kind experience with Australia's best live music and Djs. Keep checking this page to find out more about msfest through the years.
