Getting there
In recent years, msfest's reputation as a festival not to be missed has spread far across the Tasman and throughout Australia. A place where adventure, culture and luxury converge, Tasmania offers something for everyone. And there's no better way to experience the splendors of our magical island than in the warm summer sunshine. We welcome all who make the journey to share our experience and hope you get a chance to stick around and have a good look around this amazing island of ours!
If you like four wheel driving through roaring surf, mountain peaks and remote lakes, rafting gorges, rapids, and waterfalls, trekking through ancient rainforests and rugged coastlines, or just kicking back as you soak up the breathtaking scenery and world-class selection of food and wine, there is no better place to start than Launceston. Launceston Tamar Valley is situated in the central north of Tasmania, and roughly half a day to anywhere on the Island! A simple 2.5 hours from the World Heritage listed Cradle Valley, granite formations on the East Coast, spectacular Wineglass Bay, (and even Hobart!) Launceston Tamar Valley truly is the Heart of our island State.
